The New Age of Feminine Drawing NO. 2 Art Book Review
Here’s another art book review before I leave for the holidays! The New Age of Feminine Drawing NO. 2 (by Allrightsreserved) is a book series showcasing illustrations that empower the idea of “Feminine.” From fashion illustrations, product designs, mixed media commercials, lifestyle pages, posters and more, this book will help you visualize how strong illustrations seduce their target audience in an artsy-farsty manner. (No joke tee-hee)
Favorite artists of mine like Fifi Lapin, James Jean, Raphael Vicenzi, Annika Wester, etc. are all included in the 2nd edition (that’s why I bought it actually hehe). But what I seriously love about this art book are the “Behind the scenes” with the artists’ work.

In the Behind the Scenes (BTS) part like this one above, the artist shares her experiences with how she starts an illustration and discusses her “movement” style with her work. So pretty much, the BTS pages shows a step by step process by the illustrators and as a self taught artist this is just so awesome!
Since I started drawing, I’ve been using a trial and error method (I never went to art school, so don’t ask me anything about plates tee-hee) so these articles will simply expose me on how to start a good illustration/sketch…the right way. Plus it’s a good learning to see different views.

I bought my art book @ Page One in HongKong Harbour City but you can always order from Fullybooked.
